Internal Medicine Physician (MD/DO) Position OverviewInterMed, P.A. is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Internal Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join our physician-led team. This opportunity allows internal medicine physicians to collaborate with a diverse group of healthcare professionals, including medical assistants, registered nurses, and advanced practice providers such as Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs). This full-time opportunity is based in Portland, Maine, a city known for its scenic beauty, cultural vibrancy, and active outdoor lifestyle.
Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive outpatient internal medicine care to a diverse adult patient population.
- Collaborate with a team of 20 internists and multidisciplinary colleagues in specialties such as cardiology, dermatology, audiology, OB/GYN, ENT, neurology, pain management, rehabilitation therapies, sports medicine, general surgery, and urgent care.
- Utilize integrated electronic medical records with advanced AI-driven capabilities to enhance patient care and practice efficiency.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and contribute to innovative solutions that improve patient outcomes and physician workflow.
- Engage in optional inpatient teaching opportunities, supporting medical education and contributing to the growth of the next generation of healthcare providers.
- Participate in organizational meetings and clinical committees to help drive decision-making and practice improvements in a 100% physician-led environment.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine.
- Current, unrestricted medical license to practice as an Internal Medicine Physician (MD/DO).
- Demonstrated commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with patients and multidisciplinary team members.
