Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP)We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a well-established medical group. As an Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide care to a diverse patient population, managing an average daily caseload and utilizing your expertise to address a wide range of acute and chronic internal medicine conditions. You will be responsible for conducting patient histories, managing medications, performing new patient consults, and developing individualized treatment plans. Autonomy and teamwork are valued in this role, allowing you to make meaningful clinical decisions while benefiting from collaborative support. The practice operates on a weekday schedule with no call or weekend requirements, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
The Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) will be expected to maintain board certification and preferably hold an active state license. Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic is highly valued. Candidates should possess at least two years of clinical experience as an advanced practitioner and be comfortable treating both adult and pediatric patients. Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Summary- Full-time advanced practice opportunity in a collaborative outpatient setting
- Work closely with a physician and other advanced practice providers while maintaining autonomy
- Manage a diverse patient panel with an average caseload of 12-15 patients per day
- Monday through Friday schedule with no call or weekend duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations
- Manage medication therapies and develop individualized treatment plans for acute and chronic internal medicine cases
- Perform new patient consults and ongoing patient follow-up visits
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while also functioning independently as needed
- Document clinical findings and manage patient records using electronic health record systems (Epic preferred)
- Maintain current knowledge of best practices in internal medicine and participate in ongoing professional development, including CME

- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a focus in Internal Medicine
- Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Active state NP license (or eligibility to obtain); North Carolina license preferred
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience as an advanced practice provider
- Demonstrated ability to care for patients across the lifespan
- Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health record systems preferred
