Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU RN) - Summary
- Provide specialized nursing care for critically ill patients in an intensive care unit setting.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding proactively to any changes.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Deliver life-saving interventions and utilize advanced medical equipment.
- Maintain clear and compassionate communication with patients and their families.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Continuous assessment of patient status, including vital signs, neurological checks, and other relevant metrics.
- Identification and prompt reporting of changes in patient condition to the healthcare team.
- Administration of medications, intravenous therapies, blood products, and other medical treatments as prescribed.
- Documentation of patient care activities, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies.
- Implementation of infection control procedures and compliance with safety protocols.
- Providing support and education to patients and their families regarding critical care processes and expectations.
- Preparation for and participation in medical emergencies, including code situations and rapid response events.
- Ensuring continuity of care by providing thorough handoffs and updates to incoming staff and healthcare providers.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Previous experience in intensive care or critical care nursing preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
