Insurance Sales Representative (P&C, L&H) - Summary
The Insurance Sales Representative (P&C, L&H) is responsible for developing new business, maintaining strong client relationships, and providing exceptional service related to property, casualty, life, and health insurance products. This role requires proactive lead generation, effective communication, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. The successful candidate will be able to leverage their sales experience and licensing credentials to contribute meaningfully to the agency's growth and customer satisfaction goals.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop leads and proactively schedule appointments with potential and existing clients.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate insurance products and solutions, including property, casualty, life, and health policies.
- Establish and maintain lasting customer relationships through consistent follow-up and personalized service.
- Respond promptly to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, claims, and billing matters.
- Support clients throughout the insurance process, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and quotas through effective pipeline management and consultative selling techniques.
- Collaborate with team members to strategize and implement solutions that drive client satisfaction and agency success.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license is required to be considered for this role.
- Life & Health insurance license is highly preferred and considered a strong asset.
- Previous experience in insurance sales, whether inside or outside sales, retail sales, or telemarketing, is preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals or quotas.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills to effectively engage with customers and team members.
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Ability to build rapport and relate effectively to a wide range of customers.
- Must be able to work in-office in Richmond, VA as this is not a remote position.
