Insurance Sales Representative Position Overview
The Insurance Sales Representative plays a key role in supporting the growth and success of a State Farm independent agency. This full-time opportunity is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about providing exceptional customer service, building lasting client relationships, and helping clients make informed decisions regarding their insurance needs. While previous insurance experience is not required, comprehensive training will be provided to equip new team members with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in this role.
Responsibilities
- Establish and develop relationships with customers, providing ongoing follow-up as needed to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service, including answering questions regarding insurance availability, eligibility, policy changes, claims, and billing inquiries.
- Utilize a needs-based review process to educate clients about various insurance options, helping them select appropriate coverage.
- Maintain a strong work ethic with a commitment to personal and team success every day.
- Generate insurance quotes, deliver persuasive sales presentations, and close new business to meet or exceed agency goals.
- Develop and nurture professional networking relationships to expand the agency’s client base.
- Identify new service opportunities with both existing and prospective clients, contributing to agency growth.

- Willingness to provide timely and thorough activity reports to the agent.
- Commitment to ongoing learning, including staying current on product changes, licensing requirements, and industry developments.
- Must be able to obtain Property & Casualty license and Life and Health license as required by state regulations.
