Insurance Sales Representative Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Insurance Sales Representative to join our independent State Farm Agency in Chicago, IL. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to build a rewarding career in the insurance and financial services industry. As an Insurance Sales Representative, you will play a key role in helping individuals and families secure the protection they need through property, casualty, life, and health insurance products.
Responsibilities
- Proactively develop insurance quotes and present customized solutions to prospective and existing clients.
- Close sales and achieve monthly and annual targets in alignment with agency goals.
- Establish and nurture strong client relationships, following up regularly to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Engage in ongoing networking activities to generate new leads and build a robust pipeline of potential clients.
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and friendly client support at every stage of the customer journey.
- Maintain a strong work ethic with a consistent commitment to achieving success each day.
- Identify and develop new opportunities for service with both existing and new clients to maximize growth potential.
Qualifications
- Must have or be able to obtain a Property and Casualty insurance license prior to the start date.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Life and Health insurance license.
- Sales experience is helpful, though not required; we provide comprehensive training for the right candidate.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm and understanding of the importance of insurance and financial products in clients’ lives.
- Proven track record of trustworthiness, dependability, and ethical behavior in previous roles.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening abilities.
- Ability to proactively generate appointments and build relationships from a cold start.
