Insurance Sales Agent Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Insurance Sales Agent. This role is based in Katy, Texas, and provides an opportunity to work within an award-winning agency that has been serving the Greater Houston area for over 15 years. As an Insurance Sales Agent, you will play a key role in helping individuals and businesses find the right insurance solutions while building lasting relationships within the community. This in-office position is ideal for candidates who are driven to succeed and eager to develop their career in the insurance industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop insurance quotes tailored to client needs, deliver compelling sales presentations, and close sales effectively.
- Establish and nurture client relationships, providing follow-up support to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Engage in ongoing networking with local small business owners, including real estate agents, mortgage lenders, and auto dealers, to foster new business opportunities.
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and friendly support to clients, maintaining a high standard of customer service at all times.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic with a daily commitment to achieving individual and team goals.
- Identify and develop new opportunities with both existing and prospective clients through proactive outreach and engagement.
Qualifications
- Property & Casualty and Life & Health Insurance licenses are preferred. Candidates must be able to obtain the necessary licenses within 60 days of hire if not already licensed.
- Open to candidates without prior insurance experience, provided there is a willingness to learn and obtain the required licensing. Company-paid training and licensing are offered.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, apply intuition and resourcefulness, and accept constructive coaching.
- Positive, enthusiastic, and upbeat attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Strong multi-tasking abilities, attention to follow-through, and organizational skills are essential.
- High level of personal drive, goal orientation, and a strong work ethic.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills, with a minimum of one year of sales experience preferred.
- Commitment to staying current on product developments, licensing requirements, and continuing education opportunities.
