Insurance Sales Agent - Summary
The Insurance Sales Agent will be responsible for generating leads, building strong customer relationships, and providing prompt and accurate service to clients. This role involves understanding the unique needs of each customer and recommending appropriate insurance products and services to meet those needs. As an Insurance Sales Agent, you will also be expected to uphold the agency’s standards of excellence in customer care and professionalism.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain leads to expand the agency’s client base.
- Schedule appointments with potential and existing clients to assess their insurance coverage requirements.
- Identify and analyze customer needs, and recommend suitable insurance products, including property & casualty and life & health policies.
- Market appropriate products and services to both new and existing customers, leveraging your insurance sales expertise.
- Establish, nurture, and sustain customer relationships through regular follow-up and effective communication.
- Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service by responding to inquiries about insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarifications.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies throughout the sales and servicing process.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve office sales goals and maintain a positive agency environment.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license is required for the Insurance Sales Agent role.
- Life & Health insurance license strongly preferred.
- Previous insurance sales experience is highly desirable.
- Experience in outside sales, inside sales, retail sales, or telemarketing is a plus.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals or quotas is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening abilities.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
