Insurance Customer Service Representative Position OverviewThe Insurance Customer Service Representative plays a vital role as part of an insurance agency’s team, supporting clients with their insurance needs and providing a positive customer experience. This full-time position involves working directly with customers to address inquiries, process policy changes, and deliver high-quality service. The Insurance Customer Service Representative helps ensure seamless communication between clients and the agency, contributing to the agency’s reputation for excellent service and professionalism.
Responsibilities- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships through regular follow-up and effective communication.
- Provide prompt, accurate, and courteous service for all client needs, including questions related to insurance coverage, policy changes, eligibility, claim submissions, billing, and more.
- Utilize a needs-based review process to educate customers about available insurance products and coverage options, helping them make informed decisions.
- Respond efficiently to inquiries about insurance availability, coverage specifics, policy transfers, and claims, offering clear and helpful guidance.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and consistent commitment to delivering exceptional service every day.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve agency goals and support business growth through value-driven conversations.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and provide thorough activity reports to the agent as required.

- Property & Casualty insurance license (or willingness to obtain as a condition of employment).
- Life and Health insurance license (or willingness to obtain as a condition of employment).
- Commitment to maintaining current knowledge of product changes, licensing requirements, technical developments, and continuing education.
