Insurance Customer Service Representative - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers by responding to inquiries and following up as needed.
- Provide accurate, friendly, and prompt customer service across a range of insurance topics, including policy availability, eligibility, coverage, policy changes, transfers, claims, and billing.
- Use a needs-based approach to review customer accounts, identifying appropriate insurance options and educating clients on their choices.
- Facilitate policy changes, process claims, and clarify billing details to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Accurately document customer interactions and transactions in accordance with agency procedures.
- Work collaboratively with agency staff to achieve customer satisfaction and loyalty goals.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance services and support agency growth initiatives.
- Comply with all regulatory and agency requirements, including timely completion of licensing and training programs.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service and/or sales roles preferred (such as inside or outside sales, retail sales, or telemarketing).
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
- Strong self-motivation, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Capable of assessing customer needs and conducting effective interviews.

- Willingness and ability to obtain Property & Casualty insurance license.
- Willingness and ability to obtain Life and Health insurance license.
