Insurance Customer Service Representative - Summary
The Insurance Customer Service Representative serves as a primary point of contact for clients seeking support with their insurance policies. This position supports the agency’s mission by fostering trust, providing accurate information, and ensuring each client receives prompt, friendly, and efficient service. Duties & Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls and greet clients in a professional manner
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and follow-up
- Provide timely, accurate, and courteous service, including responding to inquiries about insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification
- Utilize a customer-focused process to educate clients about various insurance options suitable for their needs
- Document customer interactions and maintain accurate records in accordance with agency procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service delivery and uphold the standards of the agency
- Participate in regular training to stay current on insurance products, policies, and industry regulations
- Assist customers with policy renewals, endorsements, and claims support as needed

Qualifications & Requirements
- Sales experience (inside sales, outside sales, retail sales, or telemarketing) preferred
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Strong skills in assessing customer needs and conducting effective client interviews
- Ability to relate to customers and build rapport quickly
- Willingness and ability to obtain Property & Casualty license (preferred)
- Willingness and ability to obtain Life and Health insurance license (required)
