Insurance Agent Position OverviewFarm Bureau Financial Services is seeking a driven and entrepreneurial Insurance Agent for a full-time opportunity in Garden City, KS. Key Responsibilities- Obtain and maintain the required insurance licenses, including Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses.
- Meet or exceed new business production goals and objectives as set by Farm Bureau Financial Services.
- Proactively source new clients through networking, telephone outreach, and other lead generation methods.
- Set appointments and conduct thorough needs assessments to identify clients’ insurance and financial services requirements.
- Develop tailored insurance proposals, deliver professional sales presentations, and successfully close sales.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and complete a background check to company standards.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Initiate business development by leveraging your network, such as utilizing the "Project 150" approach, which involves reaching out to 150 contacts within your personal and professional networks.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building and growing a business in the insurance sector.
- Ability to efficiently operate and manage a new business independently, while also collaborating with a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to serving and advocating for clients and the local community in Garden City, KS.
- Proficiency in identifying and assessing everyday risks faced by clients to help protect their financial futures.
- SIE (Securities Industry Essentials) certification is desirable.
