Key Responsibilities- Obtain and maintain Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance licenses as required by state regulations.
- Achieve new business production goals and objectives set by Farm Bureau Financial Services.
- Generate new business through various channels, including telephone outreach, networking, and referrals.
- Set appointments with potential clients and conduct needs assessments to determine appropriate insurance solutions.
- Develop comprehensive insurance proposals tailored to clients’ needs and deliver effective sales presentations.
- Close insurance sales and follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and successfully complete any required background checks.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues.
- Utilize personal and professional contacts, including compiling a list of 150 family, friends, and acquaintances, to kick-start your business development efforts.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate and manage a new business efficiently.
- Advocate for clients within the community, demonstrating a commitment to identifying and addressing everyday risks.
- Strong interpersonal skills and dedication to helping clients protect their livelihoods and futures.
- Ability to obtain or hold SIE certification as applicable.
- Meet all application prerequisites, including current residency in approved states (AZ, IA, KS, MN, NE, NM, SD, UT).
- Independence in managing your own schedule and potential income.
