Insurance Agent Job OverviewFarm Bureau Financial Services is seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Insurance Agent for a contract employment opportunity. This position is ideal for candidates who are driven to build a business, support their communities, and provide comprehensive insurance solutions. As an Insurance Agent, you will have the independence to manage your own schedule and income while being backed by the resources and training of an established organization. This opportunity is open to individuals currently residing in AZ, IA, KS, MN, NE, NM, SD, and UT. The role is designed for those eager to make a meaningful impact by guiding clients in protecting their assets and planning for their futures.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and maintain Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance licenses as required by state regulations.
- Meet new business production goals and objectives by actively prospecting and developing client relationships.
- Generate new leads through telephone outreach, networking, and other business development activities.
- Set appointments with prospective clients to assess their financial needs and provide tailored insurance solutions.
- Develop insurance proposals, deliver compelling sales presentations, and close sales to help clients protect their livelihoods.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and pass a background check as part of the hiring process.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Utilize the "Project 150" strategy by identifying and contacting a network of family, friends, and acquaintances to launch your business.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate and grow a business efficiently.
- Passion for advocating for clients and providing outstanding service to your community.
- Ability to identify client risks and recommend appropriate insurance products to protect their future.
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) certification preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the capability to set and achieve sales targets.
