Insurance Agent - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Obtain and maintain required Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance licenses.
- Meet new business production goals and objectives as set by Farm Bureau Financial Services.
- Generate new business through various channels, including telephone outreach, networking, and referrals.
- Set appointments and conduct needs assessments to identify clients' financial service requirements.
- Develop personalized insurance proposals, deliver effective sales presentations, and close sales transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and follow up to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Utilize an initial contact list (“Project 150”) to kick-start business development efforts.
- Advocate for clients by identifying risks and offering appropriate coverage solutions.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills in all interactions.
- Comply with all regulatory and company standards, including background checks and maintaining a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Ability to obtain Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and motivation to operate an independent business.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory results from a background check.
- SIE certification preferred.
- Ability to build and utilize a personal network for business development.
- Residency in AZ, IA, KS, MN, NE, NM, SD, or UT is required.
