Insurance Agent Job OverviewFarm Bureau Financial Services is seeking driven individuals to join our team as a full-time Insurance Agent in Silver City, NM. As an Insurance Agent, you will be responsible for selling a wide range of insurance products, including property and casualty, life, and health insurance, as well as annuities.
Key Responsibilities- Prospect for new clients through telephone outreach, networking, and referrals.
- Assess clients’ insurance needs and financial goals to recommend appropriate coverage options.
- Set appointments, conduct client meetings, and deliver effective insurance proposals and presentations.
- Develop and maintain a list of contacts, including family, friends, and professional acquaintances, to initiate business development efforts.
- Achieve new business production goals and objectives as set by Farm Bureau Financial Services.
- Complete necessary training and certification requirements, including obtaining Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses.
- Maintain accurate client records and adhere to compliance requirements.
- Act as an advocate for clients, helping them identify risks and secure coverage to protect their livelihoods and futures.
- Ability to obtain Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance licenses in the state of NM.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a background check.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and the drive to operate a business independently.
- Dedication to serving clients and advocating for their best interests.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Preferred: SIE certification.
