Insurance Agent - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Obtain necessary state insurance licenses, including Property & Casualty and Life & Health
- Meet new business production goals and objectives as set by Farm Bureau Financial Services
- Generate new client leads through telephone outreach, networking, and referrals
- Set appointments with prospective clients and assess their insurance and financial service needs
- Develop comprehensive insurance proposals and deliver persuasive sales presentations
- Close sales and provide ongoing client support and service
- Leverage your personal and professional network (Project 150) to jumpstart your business
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all regulatory requirements
- Advocate for clients, helping them identify and manage everyday risks to protect their livelihoods and futures

Qualifications & Requirements
- Ability to obtain required state insurance licenses (Property & Casualty, Life & Health)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to set and achieve sales goals
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a self-motivated, disciplined work ethic
- Commitment to building and maintaining client relationships
- Ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies
- Completion of SIE certification is a plus
