Injection Molding Operator - Summary
- Responsible for removing, inspecting, and processing injection molded plastic parts.
- Operates under written and verbal instructions to ensure part quality and accuracy.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Remove molded plastic parts from injection molding machines safely and efficiently.
- Trim parts from runners using appropriate tools such as gate trimming side cutters.
- Inspect and clean parts, removing any flash or excess material as needed.
- Conduct visual and mechanical inspections according to specifications.
- Perform additional operations, which may include fixturing, assembly, machining, sanding, sonic welding, hot stamping, and weigh counting.
- Pack parts into containers and stack them in designated areas for further processing or shipment.
- Handle runners and rejected parts by placing them into material grinders and operating grinding equipment.
- Sort runners from parts, especially on automatic presses.
- Record rejected parts and complete accurate data entry for production tracking, including counts of good and scrap parts and job timing.
