Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) - Summary
- Deliver professional nursing care to infusion suite patients under the direction of physicians and the operations manager
- Utilize advanced assessment, IV therapy, and medication preparation skills
- Ensure high standards of care, safety, and patient confidentiality are maintained at all times
- Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to support patient wellness and recovery
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory of infusion drugs, IV supplies, and medications necessary for daily clinic operations
- Order medications and supplies proactively to ensure timely and uninterrupted patient care
- Perform benefit investigation and documentation for new infusion patients
- Ensure the infusion suite is clean, stocked, and ready for patient care at all times
- Assess patient conditions, record vital signs, and prepare patients for infusion therapy
- Skillfully mix and prepare medications for infusion per physician orders
- Monitor patients during infusions, watching for adverse reactions or changes in condition
- Support physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments as needed
- Document all patient care activities, interventions, and responses in electronic health records accurately
- Educate patients and families about treatment, medication, and wellness strategies
- Adhere strictly to infection control, safety, and confidentiality protocols
- Maintain emergency medical supplies, including emergency cart and oxygen tanks
- Coordinate with administrative staff to confirm insurance authorizations prior to scheduled infusions
- Accurately code and document procedures and medication units for billing purposes
- Assist team members with patient communications, triage, and coverage as required
- Provide coverage and assistance for physicians and other nursing staff as needed

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Completion of an accredited RN degree program
- Minimum of one year of professional nursing experience; clinic or infusion experience strongly preferred
- Strong computer proficiency and excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles, infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 100 pounds as needed
- Must be able to pass Hepatitis B vaccination and TB testing requirements
