We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. As an Industrial Painter, you will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality finishes on a variety of sheet metal parts and components, primarily utilizing powder coat painting techniques. In this role, you will closely follow production plans provided by your supervisor, ensuring that all surfaces are properly prepared, primed, sanded, and painted according to specific requirements. You will work with a range of painting materials, with a strong focus on powder coatings, and ensure that all work meets the precise tolerances required by our manufacturing standards. The ability to interpret prints, drawings, and redlines for specialized paint process instructions is essential, as is the capacity to inspect your work at each stage of production to maintain the highest standards of quality.
The Industrial Painter is responsible for operating, cleaning, and maintaining all painting equipment, including sprayers and electrostatic powder coat systems. You will also estimate the time and materials required for each project, keep accurate records, and submit detailed reports of work performed. Flexibility is important, as you may be asked to rotate to other job functions within the same labor grade as directed by your supervisor. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area is a key element of this role, as all duties must be performed in accordance with established safety procedures.
This position requires a minimum of five years of experience in painting sheet metal parts and components, with hands-on expertise in both wet and dry (powder) painting processes. A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required. You should be comfortable standing, reaching, bending, moving, and walking throughout the facility on a regular basis, as well as engaging in effective communication with coworkers and managers on a daily basis.

Industrial Painter - Summary- Responsible for preparing, priming, sanding, and painting sheet metal parts/components.
- Specializes in powder coat painting, with knowledge of other paint types such as epoxy and water-based paints.
- Follows production plans, safety standards, and quality guidelines.
- Maintains painting equipment and work area.
- Review prints, drawings, and redlines for special paint process instructions.
- Inspect work before and after each operation to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
- Prepare, prime, sand, and paint surfaces using various painting materials.
- Focus on powder coat painting while utilizing other paint types as needed.
- Maintain required tolerances and apply advanced finishing techniques when appropriate.
- Tape, repair, and texture surfaces as necessary.
- Operate, clean, and maintain all painting equipment, including sprayers and electrostatic powder coat systems.

- Rotate to other job functions within the same labor grade as directed by supervisor.
- Keep work area clean and organized; ensure proper care of equipment.
