We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. As an Industrial Painter, you will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality finishes on a variety of sheet metal parts and components, primarily utilizing powder coat painting techniques. This full-time position offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic production environment, where attention to detail and a commitment to safety are paramount.
In this role, you will closely follow production plans provided by your supervisor, ensuring that all surfaces are properly prepared, primed, sanded, and painted according to specific requirements. You will work with a range of painting materials, with a strong focus on powder coatings, and ensure that all work meets the precise tolerances required by our manufacturing standards. The ability to interpret prints, drawings, and redlines for specialized paint process instructions is essential, as is the capacity to inspect your work at each stage of production to maintain the highest standards of quality.
The Industrial Painter is responsible for operating, cleaning, and maintaining all painting equipment, including sprayers and electrostatic powder coat systems. You will also estimate the time and materials required for each project, keep accurate records, and submit detailed reports of work performed. Flexibility is important, as you may be asked to rotate to other job functions within the same labor grade as directed by your supervisor. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area is a key element of this role, as all duties must be performed in accordance with established safety procedures.
This position requires a minimum of five years of experience in painting sheet metal parts and components, with hands-on expertise in both wet and dry (powder) painting processes. A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required. You should be comfortable standing, reaching, bending, moving, and walking throughout the facility on a regular basis, as well as engaging in effective communication with coworkers and managers on a daily basis.
