Your insights and recommendations will directly contribute to minimizing waste, streamlining processes, and enhancing overall productivity. In addition, you will be responsible for implementing automated systems, optimizing packaging for new products, and supporting the successful launch of new manufacturing programs.
Another vital aspect of the role is the ability to analyze complex data, conduct time studies, and apply statistical tools to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements. Industrial Engineer - Summary- Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of manufacturing and material handling processes.
- Enhance operational flow, safety, and efficiency within the manufacturing facility.
- Utilize analytical tools and engineering methodologies such as DMAIC to drive productivity and process optimization.
- Work collaboratively with teams to implement new technologies and support strategic initiatives.
- Engineer and optimize end-to-end material flows from receiving to assembly to finished goods shipment, ensuring seamless movement throughout the plant.
- Analyze workflow, space utilization, and equipment layout using DMAIC methodology to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Conduct time studies and apply statistical analysis to identify process bottlenecks and implement measurable improvements.
- Review and enhance sequence picking processes, implementing solutions to improve accuracy and reduce handling time.
- Support automation initiatives for storage, retrieval, and material delivery systems.
- Assign standard packaging for new model parts based on economic order quantity, enhancing material handling efficiency.
- Calculate production, labor, and material costs to provide critical decision-making data and support strategic planning.
- Manage new program launches and process changes with structured transparency.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, design details, team coordination, and vendor procurement activities.
- Prepare clear reports highlighting process performance, trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Document new or revised processes and ensure effective communication across teams.
- Partner with manufacturing teams to achieve safety, quality, and productivity targets.
- Lead and support Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.
- Train technicians and team members on new or updated processes.
- Maintain technical expertise through workshops, publications, networking, and participation in professional societies.

- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Strong familiarity with DMAIC methodology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and proactively.
- Excellent communication skills for listening, writing, and presenting.
- Experience with AutoCAD, MS Access, SQL, or Minitab is preferred.
- Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) is a plus.
