Assembly Technician - Summary- Contractor position assembling a wide range of retail products in-store
- Work independently in a fast-paced, ever-changing retail environment
- Performance-based pay with opportunities for higher earnings based on speed, accuracy, and reliability

- Assemble products such as grills, BBQs, lawn mowers, patio furniture, bikes, wheelbarrows, outdoor storage sheds, and similar items according to manufacturer specifications
- Ensure all items are assembled accurately, safely, and within designated timeframes
- Use personal tools (including drill or impact driver, sockets, screwdrivers, pliers, wrench, utility knife, rubber mallet, etc.) to complete assembly tasks
- Document completed work using a smartphone for photos, product scanning, and invoicing through our company app
- Demonstrate punctuality by checking in on time at assigned job sites to maximize commission rates
- Maintain consistent communication and coordination with the M&C Assemblies team for assignment updates and performance feedback
- Performance-based pay, with average earnings around $20 per hour and top performers reaching significantly higher rates
- No earning cap – the more efficiently and accurately you assemble, the more you can earn
- Weekly pay via direct deposit
- Automated percentage increases for punctuality, daily/weekly unit completion, and quality workmanship
- Priority access to higher-volume stores and more assignments for high-performing technicians
- Work in locations close to home with daily variety in assignments
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Physically able to lift and carry 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Reliable personal transportation required
- Smartphone with camera functionality for work documentation and app usage
- Ownership of required assembly tools, including (but not limited to):
- 18V cordless impact driver or drill (strongly preferred)
- Deep metric sockets
- Allen/hex bit set
- Cutting pliers
- Multiple screwdrivers
- Adjustable wrench
- Box cutter/utility knife
- Rubber mallet
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to follow detailed instructions
- Strong time management skills and ability to self-motivate
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to delivering quality work on time
- Self-starter comfortable working independently in retail store settings
- Open to learning and adapting to new product assembly requirements
- Mechanically oriented and detail-focused with a strong work ethic
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- No formal experience is required, but candidates must demonstrate mechanical aptitude and readiness to work
- Assignments are available immediately in multiple markets
