ICU RN (Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse) - Full-Time Contract Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU RN for a full-time contract position. ICU RN - Summary
- Provide critical care nursing services to patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
- Monitor and manage life-support equipment, including mechanical ventilators and invasive monitoring devices.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver evidence-based care.
- Serve as a patient advocate, offering education and emotional support to patients and their families during crisis situations.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with established protocols and regulatory standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and continuous monitoring of patient vital signs, ECGs, and physiological parameters.
- Initiate, titrate, and administer complex medication regimens, including vasoactive drips and sedatives.
- Manage and troubleshoot advanced life-support equipment, such as mechanical ventilators and central lines.
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies, implementing advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) protocols as needed.
- Provide clear communication and compassionate education to patients and family members facing serious health challenges.
- Document all care activities accurately in the patient medical record and participate in shift handovers to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment in adherence to infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 2+ years of recent experience working as an ICU RN in a hospital setting.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Demonstrated proficiency in advanced cardiac life support, IV insertion, and central line care.
- Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure, emergency situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patient families.
