The HVAC Service Supervisor plays an integral role in ensuring the seamless operation and performance of HVAC field service teams. As a key leader, the HVAC Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and guiding service technicians, managing project demands, and serving as a technical advisor. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of HVAC service technicians, providing ongoing coaching and training to ensure technical proficiency and professional development.
- Manage daily workload, overtime, and labor resource planning to optimize efficiency and meet project deadlines.
- Collaborate with sales teams on equipment sales and rental opportunities, providing technical support and expertise.
- Review upcoming projects, define equipment requirements, and clarify service scope in consultation with both customers and the sales department.
- Track and monitor project costs to ensure profitability and adherence to budget constraints.
- Work with the procurement team to prepare purchase orders for equipment, installation, and parts. Coordinate with vendors and oversee shipment and installation at customer sites.
- Supervise both mechanical and electrical installation activities, ensuring compliance with project scope and managing customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee start-up and commissioning of HVAC equipment, ensuring all operational standards are met.
- Obtain necessary inspection and customer sign-offs and facilitate final invoicing processes to ensure project closure and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in field service management or project management within the HVAC industry is required.
- Demonstrated technical expertise in HVAC equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with sales teams, customers, and management.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business demands.
- Team-oriented mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
