HVAC Installer - Summary
- Responsible for end-to-end residential HVAC and heat-pump installation projects
- Ensures safe removal and replacement of old systems
- Collaborates with technical teams to enhance installation quality and process efficiency
- Acts as a knowledgeable resource and point of contact for homeowners during installation
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform complete residential heat-pump system installations, including removal of existing HVAC equipment
- Recover refrigerant, evacuate systems, charge refrigerant, and commission equipment with precision
- Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation accurately
- Follow all relevant building codes, permits, and safety standards
- Test installed systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation
- Proactively identify and resolve installation or quality issues
- Educate homeowners about system operation, answering questions professionally and thoroughly
- Maintain organized work vehicles and job sites
- Collaborate with fellow installers and technical staff to refine installation methods and product offerings

Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience in residential HVAC installation, especially heat pumps and mini-split systems
- Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, and other physically demanding environments
- EPA Section 608 Certification or active progress toward certification
- Current HVAC or HVACR license if required locally
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics
- Knowledge of building codes and regulatory requirements
- Strong technical skills in refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and charging
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Physical capability to lift and transport heavy equipment and work in variable conditions
- Commitment to OSHA electrical and safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout procedures
