Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform complete installation of heat pump systems, including removal of existing gas furnaces and air conditioning equipment, ensuring all workspaces are left clean and organized.
- Execute precise refrigerant recovery, system evacuation, and proper charging in accordance with industry best practices and safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installation and confident troubleshooting during and after the installation process.
- Prepare installation sites meticulously, ensuring the new system is set up for optimal performance from the start.
- Remain up-to-date with local building codes and ensure every installation is fully compliant with regulatory standards before completion.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience by addressing questions clearly, resolving any concerns, and leaving homeowners satisfied with their new HVAC systems.
- Identify and address quality issues proactively, raising concerns when corrections are necessary to maintain high standards.
- Maintain an organized, well-stocked vehicle and warehouse to support efficient daily operations.
- Collaborate with installers and engineering teams to identify process improvements and contribute to continuous quality enhancements.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Hands-on residential HVAC installation experience, including working in physically demanding environments such as attics and crawlspaces.
- Current HVACR license (required).
- EPA Section 608 Certification (required or currently in progress).
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive crew.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and wiring schematics.
- Solid understanding of local building codes and compliance requirements.
- Strong skills in refrigerant handling, including recovery, evacuation, and charging.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Clear and professional communication skills with both customers and team members.
- Problem-solving mindset for effective troubleshooting and adaptation when installations present challenges.
- Physical stamina to manage heavy equipment and variable working conditions.
- Experience with heat pumps or mini-splits is a strong advantage; training is available for motivated candidates.
- Adherence to OSHA Electrical Standard and OSHA Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety standards.
