As an HVAC Installer, your primary responsibilities will include removing old equipment, installing new HVAC systems, repairing or replacing ductwork, performing soldering and venting tasks, detecting and repairing refrigerant leaks, recovering and reclaiming refrigerant, measuring system parameters, and calculating airflow. You may also be required to apply basic plumbing and electrical skills, ensuring all installations comply with industry codes and standards. Strong attention to detail and the ability to problem-solve are essential in this role.
In addition to technical installation tasks, HVAC Installers at TopLine Heating & Air are expected to provide clear, informative guidance to customers upon completion of each installation. You will review equipment operation modes with customers, teach them how to use all system features, and ensure their satisfaction and understanding. Building trust and establishing positive relationships with clients is a key element of this position.
Preferred candidates will possess an EPA universal certification and have completed specialized HVAC courses, though these are not required to apply. Three years of installation experience is recommended, but we are open to training motivated individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic and a desire to learn. Excellent communication and customer service skills are vital, as is proficiency with technology, including email, instant messaging, and various electronic devices and applications used for effective information sharing. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and the physical ability to lift 75 pounds or more and climb ladders as needed.
