Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise, direct, and support residential HVAC installation teams, ensuring clear division of responsibilities.
- Remove outdated furnaces, air-conditioning, and related equipment in preparation for new installations.
- Install and commission modern heat-pump systems, including mini-splits, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
- Conduct refrigerant recovery, system evacuation, charging, and functional performance testing.
- Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation to execute installations accurately.
- Verify that all work complies with building codes, permit requirements, and safety regulations.
- Identify and resolve quality concerns before finalizing any installation.
- Provide hands-on training and mentorship to junior technicians, focusing on equipment, installation protocols, and safe work habits.
- Monitor and maintain project schedules, holding teams accountable for results and craftsmanship.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, address questions, and explain new systems with clarity.
- Work collaboratively with technical and field teams to enhance installation processes and overall operational efficiency.
- Help develop robust field operations as the local market continues to expand.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with residential HVAC installation, preferably with heat pumps or mini-splits.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience managing installation crews.
- Background in training or mentoring junior technicians in the field.
- EPA Section 608 Certification is required.
- HVAC NATE certification and BPI certification are preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics accurately.
- Thorough knowledge of building codes, permit requirements, and safety standards relevant to HVAC work.
- Strong technical skills in refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and system charging.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

- Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and work in a variety of conditions.
- Dedication to OSHA electrical and Lockout/Tagout safety standards.
