As an HR Generalist, you will play a key role in payroll administration, HR operations, onboarding, compliance, and equipment management for a fast-paced and mission-driven organization. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively while supporting a diverse and dynamic workforce.

As an HR Generalist at Decypher, you will handle a broad spectrum of responsibilities that are essential to the successful operation of the human resources function. The role involves accurate payroll processing, ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws across multiple states, and maintaining up-to-date HR records. In addition, you will be responsible for onboarding new employees, conducting orientation sessions, and managing the preboarding process, ensuring that all documentation and regulatory requirements are met. This position also includes supporting annual training programs and audits, as well as providing support for employee separations and terminations within the HRIS system.

In addition to HR operations, the HR Generalist will also assist with equipment and basic IT support. This will include provisioning equipment for new hires, managing inventory systems, tracking and recovering company equipment, and providing basic troubleshooting for employee system access and software. The role requires a high degree of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital, as you will be responding to HR and payroll inquiries from employees and management alike.

Decypher values education and experience in business, human resources, or accounting. The ideal candidate will have at least an associate degree in a related field, with a bachelor’s degree preferred. The ability to work independently, meet strict deadlines, and perform accurate analytical and numerical work is essential. Experience with payroll systems, HRIS, and a working knowledge of wage and hour regulations are highly desirable. In addition, the position requires basic technical aptitude for equipment management and IT troubleshooting, as well as the ability to lift 20-25 lbs independently and sit for extended periods in an office setting.
