HR Assistant - Summary
- Provides administrative and operational support to Human Resources and Labor Relations teams.
- Maintains and updates personnel records and HR documentation.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing administrative support for performance management procedures and collective bargaining agreements.
- Assist Labor Relations staff with documentation of personnel performance issues and coordinate filing with labor unions.
- Review personnel records for accuracy and completeness, performing data entry and corrections as directed by HR or Labor Relations supervisors.
- Maintain, update, and audit HR documentation, ensuring all records comply with company policies and legal requirements.
- Interface with Labor Relations on grievance procedures or related processes as necessary.
- Support coaching and performance management activities under the advice of Labor Relations professionals.
- Perform a variety of general administrative duties to facilitate the work of the HR and Labor Relations teams.

Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or relevant job training preferred.
- Minimum of one year experience in an administrative support role, preferably within a team-based setting.
- Experience in HR or Labor Relations preferred but not mandatory.
- Fundamental understanding of HR and labor relations principles, including contract language and applicable laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
- Familiarity with Oracle or NS systems preferred.
- Ability to work effectively on-site as required.
