HP NonStop Systems Administrator - Summary
- Oversees HP NonStop (Tandem) server environments for production and development.
- Ensures system availability, optimal performance, and security compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain HP NonStop (Tandem) servers, managing both production and development systems.
- Monitor system performance and availability using advanced system monitoring tools.
- Conduct proactive maintenance, including application of operating system patches and software updates.
- Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to ensure timely resolution.
- Implement and oversee backup and disaster recovery procedures.
- Utilize job scheduling tools such as NetBatch and AutoSys for task automation and system efficiency.
- Support security hardening efforts and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
- Develop and maintain scripts using TACL, SQLCI, Perl, or Shell scripting for system automation and reporting.

- Minimum 5 years of experience administering HP NonStop (Tandem) systems.
- In-depth knowledge of HP NonStop OS, Guardian, OSS, and related utilities (FUP, SCF, TACL).
- Proficiency with system monitoring tools and job scheduling utilities such as NetBatch or AutoSys.
- Experience with security hardening, compliance, and audit procedures specific to NonStop environments.
- Strong scripting skills in TACL, SQLCI, Perl, or Shell scripting.
