Hospitality Intern - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and actively participate in the daily operations of the tasting room and assist with marketing activities.
- Create memorable guest experiences from arrival to departure, ensuring high levels of satisfaction throughout.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of our history, wines, and vineyards when interacting with guests and answering questions.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the tasting room and surrounding areas for optimal guest impressions.
- Communicate consistently and effectively with team members and management to address needs and enhance operations.
- Process guest transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and handle retail sales as required.
- Maintain inventory and displays of tasting room retail items, ensuring products are well-stocked and attractively presented.
- Foster a positive team environment by setting the tone for collaboration and open communication.
- Support other areas of operation as needed to contribute to the overall success of the organization.
- Develop and complete a hospitality-focused project by the end of the internship program, in alignment with management’s objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Hospitality, Tourism, Recreation and Event Management, Food and Beverage Management, Business, or Retail.
- Exceptional communication and organizational abilities are essential.
- Strong customer service orientation and a genuine passion for hospitality.
- Ability to remain composed and effective during high-traffic periods.
- Aptitude for multitasking, problem-solving, and working both independently and within a team.
- Must be at least 21 years old and possess reliable transportation.
- ServSafe certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, or move for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as required by operational duties.
