Hospitalist Physician (Nocturnist, IM/FM) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nighttime inpatient care to adult patients in a hospital setting
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record system
- Respond to urgent patient needs and clinical issues as they arise during overnight shifts
- Participate in patient hand-offs and communicate effectively with day teams and specialists
- Optionally perform procedures, as credentialed and privileged
- Adhere to all hospital policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Engage in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and professional development

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine (IM) or Family Medicine (FM)
- Significant experience in acute inpatient medicine
- Eligibility for medical licensure in South Dakota
