Optigy seeks dedicated and experienced Hospitalist Physicians (MD/DO), including those with nocturnist experience, for a long-term locum assignment at a prominent Level I Trauma Center in Kansas City, MO. This opportunity offers physicians the chance to be part of a dynamic, collaborative team within a well-established hospital medicine program. As a Hospitalist Physician (MD/DO), you will provide comprehensive inpatient care while working with multidisciplinary teams, advanced practice providers, and specialty consultants in a high-acuity environment.

This role is ideal for board certified or board eligible physicians in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine who thrive in a fast-paced hospital setting. The hospital features a 590-bed facility, an open ICU model with intensivist support, and a 44-bed Critical Care/ICU, ensuring that providers work alongside an experienced team committed to patient-centered care. As a Hospitalist Physician (MD/DO), your primary responsibilities will include managing admissions, rounding, and cross-coverage for adult inpatients, and collaborating closely with intensivists and other specialists. The position does not require the performance of procedures and provides flexibility in scheduling, with both day and night shift opportunities available. The hospital’s robust EMR system supports accurate and timely documentation, and the 24/7 critical care program ensures continuous support for all providers.

Successful candidates for the Hospitalist Physician (MD/DO) role will demonstrate comfort and competence in managing high-acuity patients in a Level I Trauma Center. Clean credentialing files are preferred for ease of onboarding.
