Optigy is seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their inpatient team. In this role, you will be responsible for admitting, rounding, and managing patients within a hospitalist service. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive timely and high-quality care throughout their hospital stay. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice and patient safety.
As a Hospitalist NP/PA, you will be expected to participate in flexible scheduling, including both day and night shifts, with shift times to be determined. There is no on-call requirement, and overtime is paid after 12 hours per day or 168 hours per week. Credentialing details will be provided during the onboarding process. This opportunity is well-suited to Nurse Practitioners with national NP certification (ANCC/AANP or equivalent) and Physician Assistants with national certification, both holding active licensure and a DEA registration in Mississippi. Prior inpatient or hospitalist experience is preferred, but providers with a strong interest in acute care medicine are encouraged to apply.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Admit, round, and manage patients on the inpatient hospitalist service
- Perform thorough patient assessments, develop care plans, and document findings in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with attending physicians and nursing staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
- Enter orders, interpret diagnostic test results, and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Participate in patient hand-offs and sign-outs to maintain continuity of care
- Provide evidence-based, patient-centered care in compliance with hospital protocols and standards
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (MSN/DNP) or Physician Assistant program
- Active licensure as an NP (with RN/NP license) or PA in Mississippi
- National certification: ANCC, AANP, or equivalent for NP; NCCPA for PA
- Current Mississippi DEA registration required
- Prior experience in hospitalist or inpatient settings preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently within a team
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
