Are you a dedicated advanced practice provider seeking a dynamic opportunity in a hospital setting? We are seeking a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team and provide exceptional inpatient care during nocturnal shifts. This position offers the chance to work in a collaborative hospital environment, managing a varied patient population, including those in the ICU. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospital medicine, demonstrate a high level of clinical competence, and possess a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
As a Hospitalist NP or PA, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients admitted to the hospital, including those in a critical care setting. You will work closely with a supervising physician and a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The schedule follows a 7 on / 7 off pattern, with shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, offering both stability and flexibility for work-life balance.
This role is essential in delivering continuity of care throughout the night, handling admissions, cross coverage, responding to codes and rapid response situations, and managing ICU patients. The hospital features an open ICU model with 49 licensed beds, including six ICU beds, providing a robust environment for professional growth and development. The average patient census is 22, with 2-4 admissions per night, ensuring a manageable and engaging workload.
The hospital utilizes the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system with Dragon dictation, streamlining documentation and communication. Candidates must hold current board certification or be board eligible, possess an active state license or compact license, and maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications. An active DEA registration is required, or candidates must be willing to transfer their registration if necessary. The hospital provides support for travel and offers fast-tracked credentialing processes to support a prompt start date.
