Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) - Summary- Provide inpatient care for adult patients in a hospital setting as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Ensure high standards of care, safety, and compliance with hospital protocols
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans
- Monitor patient progress and modify care plans as necessary
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health records
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Participate in daily patient rounds and multidisciplinary care conferences
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Certification in hospital medicine, acute care, or internal medicine preferred
- Valid state licensure and prescriptive authority as required
