- Permanent, full-time hospitalist position for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Provide care to a diverse patient population: pre-teen to geriatric
- Located in Southeastern, AL, a region known for its community atmosphere and quality of life
- Shift schedule: 7 on/7 off, 7pm-7am
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments of hospital inpatients from pre-teen to geriatric age groups
- Manage medications and monitor patient progress throughout hospital stays
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Participate in daily patient rounding, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Coordinate the discharge process, ensuring continuity of care and accurate documentation
- Respond to emergent and urgent patient needs during overnight shifts
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records for all patients
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and patient safety standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) certification
- Active Alabama license preferred, but not required at time of application
- Experience in hospitalist or acute care setting is preferred
