Palm Health Resources is seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Nocturnist to join our dynamic inpatient team in Chesapeake, VA. This full-time opportunity is ideal for experienced Nurse Practitioners who have specialized training and board certification in Acute Care and are passionate about delivering exceptional patient-centered care during nighttime hospital shifts. As a valued member of our established hospitalist group, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive medical care in a state-of-the-art, Magnet Status hospital renowned for its commitment to clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.
The Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Nocturnist position offers the unique chance to work exclusively during night shifts within a collaborative environment, partnering closely with physicians, advanced practice providers (APPs), and multidisciplinary teams. You will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload in a 200+ bed facility offering a wide range of specialized services, including orthopedics, gynecology, urology, critical care, GI, oncology, emergency medicine, and maternity care. Our hospital features all-private patient rooms, a dedicated orthopedic hospital, and an array of advanced medical services to support the needs of our community.
As a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Nocturnist, you will benefit from a comprehensive onboarding process with direct training from experienced physicians and APPs, ensuring you are fully prepared to admit patients, handle complex clinical scenarios, and provide cross-coverage support after hours. The role involves supporting swing and night physicians, managing medical and some surgical/OB cases, and working within an open ICU setting with in-house overnight critical care coverage. Our fully integrated EPIC EHR system ensures seamless documentation and care coordination throughout your shifts.

Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Nocturnist Summary- Inpatient, full-time nocturnist position supporting a collaborative hospitalist team
- Work in a Magnet Status hospital with advanced specialty services and private patient rooms
- Focused on night shifts with alternating schedules among APPs
