Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP, APN) - Summary
- Provide hospitalist-level care as an advanced practice nurse within an acute inpatient setting.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop differential diagnoses, and formulate individualized treatment plans for hospitalized patients.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to inform clinical decision-making.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage admissions, discharges, and daily rounding responsibilities for assigned patients.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and hospital standards of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities as required.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain up-to-date immunization records.
- Oversee care transitions and provide effective communication with patients and their families.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active Texas (TX) State Nurse Practitioner (NP) License and Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- DEA registration with a Texas address.
- Board certification in Family Practice through AANP or ANCC.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications (AHA not required).
- Recent CME credits and case logs from the past two years.
- Copies of all education and training diplomas required.
- Government-issued photo identification and Social Security card.
- Up-to-date immunization records, including TB, Flu, Hepatitis B, MMR, and Varicella.
- Color professional photo for credentialing purposes.
