As a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for rounding on patients, managing admissions, conducting comprehensive assessments, and ensuring the highest standard of inpatient care. The work schedule consists of Monday through Friday shifts from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, providing a stable and predictable routine. The hospital utilizes Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) to streamline documentation and patient management processes, supporting efficient and effective care delivery. All standard hospitalist procedures are required, and you will have access to expedited onboarding for a swift transition into your new role.

- Work in a modern micro hospital setting with a small, manageable patient census

- Perform all standard hospitalist procedures as required by the micro hospital setting

- Document patient care and clinical interventions in Cerner EMR system
- Coordinate with physician on-call backup for escalated cases or complex patient needs
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and quality standards
- Participate in rapid credentialing and onboarding processes for timely integration into the clinical team

- Active and unrestricted Texas (TX) state Nurse Practitioner license
- Board Certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) required
- Active DEA registration in Texas or willingness to obtain/transfer
- Current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Experience in hospitalist or acute care settings preferred
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR or similar electronic medical record systems
- Board-certified AGACNP or ACNP with a strong background in hospital medicine
- Skilled in performing standard hospitalist procedures and managing acute patient populations
- Comfortable working independently with physician on-call backup
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at documentation in EMR systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Flexible and adaptable to the dynamic environment of a micro hospital
- Daily patient census averages 6, with 8 beds available in the micro hospital
