We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dedicated nocturnist team serving the inpatient needs of the Columbia and Greene County communities. This full-time opportunity offers Nurse Practitioners with backgrounds in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine the chance to play a vital role in delivering high-quality care within a collaborative, patient-centered environment. As a Hospitalist NP, you will be an integral part of a well-established facility, supported by a robust network of hospitalist physicians, specialty consultants, and advanced healthcare resources.
Our hospital boasts a state-of-the-art laboratory, advanced medical imaging services, and a full spectrum of specialty consultants. These resources empower the Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care to a diverse population of inpatients. In addition, our dedicated Clinical Documentation Improvement and Case Management teams support you in optimizing clinical workflows, streamlining patient transitions, and ensuring accurate medical recordkeeping and coding.
The average medical-surgical census within our facility is approximately 70 patients daily, and you will typically be responsible for managing the care of 15-18 patients per shift. Our close affiliation with a renowned academic medical center ensures that patients requiring a higher level of care can be efficiently transferred, further enhancing patient outcomes and professional development opportunities for the Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP).
As a valued member of our team, you will collaborate closely with nine hospitalist physicians and other advanced practice providers, working within an established 7 on/7 off night shift schedule that supports work-life balance. - Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) license with eligibility to practice in the state
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine preferred
- Prior experience in an inpatient or hospitalist setting is an advantage
