The Hospitalist position welcomes candidates with backgrounds in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Family Medicine, as long as they hold the necessary board certification and credentials. This Hospitalist (MD/DO) role is designed for physicians who thrive in a collaborative environment and are comfortable managing a variety of cases in an open ICU setting.
The hospital features 124 acute care beds, including 14 beds dedicated to the intensive care unit. Hospitalists are not required to perform procedures but will be responsible for responding to codes and Rapid Response Teams (RRTs). The facility is well-supported with specialists in neurology, orthopedics, general surgery, cardiology, oncology, and gastroenterology, ensuring comprehensive care for patients. The Hospitalist (MD/DO) role utilizes the EPIC electronic medical record system, streamlining documentation and patient management.
As a Hospitalist, you will work a 7-on, 7-off schedule with flexible shifts available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., making it well-suited for clinicians who value work-life balance and consistent scheduling. The hospital provides travel coverage for locum tenens physicians, and a fast-track credentialing process is available to ensure a smooth and rapid onboarding experience. An active state medical license, DEA registration, and ACLS certification are required to qualify for this opportunity. Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient medical care and management for hospitalized patients
- Work collaboratively with specialists in neurology, orthopedics, general surgery, cardiology, oncology, and gastroenterology
- Respond to medical codes and Rapid Response Teams (RRTs)
- Utilize the EPIC EMR system for patient documentation
- Manage patients in an open ICU setting, without procedural requirements
- Ensure high standards of patient care and safety in accordance with hospital protocols
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to discharge planning

Qualifications & Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Family Medicine
- Active state medical license
- Current DEA registration (or willingness to obtain/transfer)
- ACLS certification
- Experience in acute care or hospitalist medicine preferred
