Our hospitalist team consists of six providers, including four physicians and two advanced practice providers (APPs). The role involves working in an open ICU environment with robust pulmonary support, ensuring comprehensive care for patients with varying levels of acuity. Hospitalists are responsible for responding to codes and rapid response team (RRT) calls, making strong clinical decision-making skills and the ability to work well in urgent situations essential.
This Hospitalist MD/DO position is available for an immediate start, with ongoing coverage needs anticipated. The hospital's manageable daily census, with 75 beds, ensures an environment where patient safety and provider well-being are prioritized. The electronic medical record (EMR) system used is Meditech Expanse, so familiarity with similar platforms is beneficial.
Ideal candidates will be board certified and hold an active New York state medical license, with an active DEA registration in New York or a willingness to transfer. ACLS certification is required. The hospital is willing to fast-track credentialing for qualified physicians, especially those available to start as soon as possible. All travel requirements associated with the position are covered by the hospital, ensuring a smooth and supported transition into your new role.
