Hospitalist (MD/DO) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions in hospitalized patients
- Perform procedures as required by hospital protocols and patient needs
- Coordinate care plans and communicate effectively with nursing and specialist teams
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information and treatment plans
- Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education
- Provide patient and family education regarding health status and post-discharge care
- Adapt to varying shift schedules, including days and nights
