Hospitalist (MD/DO) - Summary- Provide comprehensive inpatient care as a Hospitalist (MD/DO) managing adult hospitalized patients with diverse medical conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to optimize patient outcomes and improve care delivery.
- Conduct patient admissions, daily rounds, and discharges for assigned inpatients.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses across a variety of medical conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams regarding diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment options.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to evidence-based practice changes.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic health records.
- Consult with specialists and primary care providers as necessary.
