Hospitalist (MD/DO) - Summary
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care as a Hospitalist (MD/DO) in a dynamic hospital setting.
- Serve as the attending physician for adult patients during their hospital stay.
- Work collaboratively with specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver evidence-based care.
- Participate in a flexible locum tenens assignment with support from an established healthcare team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive admissions, including detailed history and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions for hospitalized patients.
- Coordinate consults with subspecialty physicians as needed to optimize patient care.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe appropriate treatments, and monitor patient progress.
- Lead daily multidisciplinary rounds to collaborate on patient management plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding care plans and progress.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital protocols.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and acute changes in patient status.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Active, unrestricted medical license to practice as a Hospitalist (MD/DO) in the relevant state.
- Demonstrated experience in inpatient hospital medicine preferred.
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills.
