Hospitalist (MD/DO) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive admissions, daily rounds, and discharge planning for hospitalized patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
- Coordinate with nursing staff, specialists, and ancillary providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Interpret diagnostic test results and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding care goals and progress.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and hospital committees as required.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Current, unrestricted state medical license (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Active DEA registration and compliance with all applicable credentialing requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in hospital medicine or acute care settings.
- Excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
