The Hospice and Palliative Care Physician role involves a predictable schedule, allowing for work-life balance while maintaining a strong commitment to patient care. Onsite coverage is scheduled from Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Additionally, call responsibilities are shared among the team, with a 24-hour rotation occurring one weekend every six weeks, and phone call coverage one week out of every six. This collaborative approach ensures continuous support for patients and their families while providing physicians with adequate time for rest and professional development.

No invasive procedures are required for the Hospice and Palliative Care Physician position, allowing you to focus exclusively on consultative care and symptom management. The credentialing process for this role typically takes between 90 and 120 days, ensuring all necessary qualifications and verifications are in place prior to patient care responsibilities. Physicians in this role can expect a comprehensive support package, including compensation on a 1099 basis, as well as coverage for housing, travel, rental car, and malpractice insurance.
