Responsibilities:
- Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes, and consults with other specialists.
- Designs and implements a plan of care based on thorough assessment and incorporates participation by significant others when appropriate.
- Directs assistance of support staff to achieve patients functional goals.
- Documents evaluations, treatment goals, and plans; maintains prescriptions and signatures.
- Provides direction and leadership to staff and promotes physical therapy in the community.
- Works in a physically demanding, high-stress environment and must handle, lift, and transfer patients.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved physical therapy program.
- Current, unrestricted PT license valid for the state of work.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a healthcare facility.
- Must have dependable vehicle, valid drivers license, and current auto insurance.
- Must be able and willing to travel within branch coverage area (up to 50%).
