Hematology Oncology Physician (Hematologist Oncologist, MD/DO) - Summary
- Full-time, permanent position specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of hematologic and oncologic conditions.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with blood disorders and cancer.
- Manage patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including coverage at five local hospitals on a rotating schedule (once every three weeks on weekends).
- Utilize EMR (eClinicalWorks) for documentation, care coordination, and workflow management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, pharmacists, and social workers, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in hematology and oncology through ongoing education and participation in relevant training opportunities.
- Provide compassionate education and counseling to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and prognosis.
- Monitor and manage side effects of treatments, adjusting care plans as necessary to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall mission of the practice.
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive base salary starting at $400,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
- Full-time employment with consistent Monday through Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM).

Qualifications & Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and Oncology.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of Florida (or eligibility to obtain).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering patient-centered care and working collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency with EMR systems (experience with eClinicalWorks is advantageous).
